You're Not the Only One

Sometimes hearing someone else’s story brings part of our own life into view. This is a place to leave a little of that experience for someone who might recognize themselves in it.

Read a few stories. Light a candle to honor one. If you feel moved, share a moment of your own. A few sentences are enough, and it doesn’t need a resolution.

Start with one moment. What happened? What was hard to say? A few sentences are enough.

Your experience doesn’t have to match Chad’s. Leave your public name blank to share as Anonymous. Please avoid identifying private people.

Your title, words, and public name are sent to OpenAI for screening. Accepted stories appear publicly and can be copied or shared. A moderator may read stories that need review. There are no comments or direct replies, and Chad may not read or reply to individual stories.

How this board handles your story

We store submissions privately while they are screened. OpenAI's standard API abuse-monitoring logs may retain the title, story, and public name for up to 30 days, with possible legal or safety exceptions. A designated moderator may see held stories and reports. Accepted stories appear in the words you submitted. Search engines are asked not to index this board, but anyone can still read, copy, or share a published story.

We do not ask for an email address, add contributors to a mailing list, or use stories as testimonials. Your private management link lets you revise or withdraw your story. Withdrawn stories disappear from our board and public API; copies made by other people are outside our control. Rejected submissions are removed from our storage after 30 days, and resolved reports after 90 days.

After submitting, you’ll receive a private link to check the screening result, revise or withdraw your story, and see whether a candle has been lit in its honor. Save that link before leaving.
